March Meeting

At our monthly meetings we often learn how speakers got into sewing/quilting, some in childhood and some much later, but none perhaps like the picture painted by our March speaker Gill Towell.

She described her  path from electronics management at a high level to a thriving patchwork, quilting and sewing business.  Her teaching from her studio in Maidenhead and on-line involves pupils of all ages.  We were shown examples especially of her projects with children and young people, some of which may have been seen at the Festival of Quilts at the NEC.
